If you're a fan (or watched a couple episodes) of Braxton Family Values then you probably know that the Braxton sisters are constantly grappling with the aftermath of their parents divorce. The Braxton sisters are all involved in music but the subject hasn't been touched in song even though it is often brought up on the show.

Well, that all changed today.

Tamar Braxton dropped a new single on iTunes this morning called My Man. The ballad is told from her mother's point of view and explores her feelings toward being betrayed by "her man."

When I saw Tamar's post on Instagram and read the story behind the song, I immediately thought of Beyoncé's single, Ring Off. It is a completely different vibe from My Man, but it touches on the same subject and brings depth to how daughters feel after their parents divorce over infidelity.

The marketing behind My Man may be a little strong and honestly unneeded since most people will hear the song and know what it's about. But, overall, the the single is good, the lyrics are relatable (we've all been betrayed at some point) and Tamar's vocal performance is a true highlight.
